A C6 can handle a good neutral drop, you should just try that
Are yoy holding the rpms up before start rigjt now? I know it mad ea big diff on my 78 when I would hold the brakes n get it up to just before. The stall kicked in. (About 2300 rpm) n I would ne just to the. Top of second gear at the end of the pit.
With the 5000 stall and the gearing and locked in low range, it's hard to hold the brake much past 2500rpm. The better way for foot braking with a setup like mine is to start from idle, nail the throttle and let the converter free spin up until it locks up at the stall. I've tried it both ways and usually get a harder launch doing it the 2nd way. With the brake, I'll be able to launch in the 4500 range and be right at my converter stall for a much more aggressive launch now.
As for those vids, we are just chalking it up to crappy air and me not tuning the motor for it.
Hey Karl, did Nick#2 make it home safe? I called him the other day and no answer. He mentioned selling his truck last time I talked to him, wondering if he's still interested in doing that.
