I hooked up an oil pressure gauge to the top of the HPOP on my truck and it read 20 PSI at idle and 40 while driving.
For comparison I hooked it up to my Dad's Excursion and it's got 50 psi at idle and 75 while driving.
I still haven't had time to install the new LPOP. Hoping to see the pressure come up after the install as well as some of the roughness go away. I'm wondering if the HPOP reservoir isn't getting filled up fast enough and there is some air getting sent to the injectors? I always noticed that if I let the truck sit and idle for an extended period of time it starts to idle real smooth almost like it has some air somewhere that is finally working it's way out...
Bump.....Are you still having starting issues? I remember you had a thread about it but not sure if you posted a solution. There is a oil pressure regulator but I think you have to remove the oil cooler to access it. Not sure if that could be the issue but might be worth doing some homework on.
It comes and goes. Sometimes it starts fine, other times it takes a while to light off and some times it just won't light off at all without cranking on it for some time.
I bought a new LPOP just havent been able to change it yet. I'll look into the oil pressure regulator.
