evaporator

Is there any easy way to clean the evaporator without tearing it completely apart,it has got to be mghty dirty after 16 years.1995 f350 cc.

not too close tho or u will be straightening the fins out

clean it parallel to the direction of the fins. i used to work for an local hvac company. an employee at the local restaurant decided to power wash the main roof top ac unit spraying perpendicular to the fins and bent all the fins, im glad i didnt get stuck straightening them all out. it took like a whole day haha

I take the blower out and soak it with simple green and rinse with a water hose

Fordpride, if you take the blower off ,can you see or feel the coils on the evaporator.

well i cleaned my evaporator like mike said,not a bad job even for an old man,everthing went well,would recomend this to anyone that has not cleaned theirs,mine was pretty dirty.Thanks again MIKE.
