1979 thunderbird question
I have a 1979 T-Bird with a 302 2bbl. I took it out for a drive today (85 degrees outside) and when I got up to about 75mph the car just died like it was out of gas. I got it restrarted whent about 2miles and it died again. I have replaced the fuel pump, rebuilt the carb. replaced the fuel filter before all this happened. Any input would be helpful Thanks Guys.

Check for spark when it dies like this, if you don't have any there is an ignition problem that is likely a flaky CDI if so equipped.

When you talk about the CDI you are talking about the coil I assume?

Might be the needle and seat in the carb. Tap on the fuel bowl with a screwdriver handle if it quits again
