Do you think we'll see brand-new 2003 GM pickups and Avalanches in the 4x4 truck magazine's ugly reader's rides this year along with the rusted-out 70s and 80s Dodges?
That is an opinion because I have a 78 dodge 3/4 4x4 with a police HO 360 4spd and a 93 CTD auto 2x4 that I really like. In fact I just did a frame up restoration on my 78 with a 6" lift and some small engine mods.

That's funny. Those new GM front-ends are absolutely hideous.
That is an award that Chevy can have year after year after year..... Those things look like someone let 5 year olds design a truck and that is what they went with.
I take that statement back, 5 year olds could design something better looking
Looking into a chebby, all you see is a stack of square boxes... That's it! All the interior components are all squared off, whereas Ford trucks are all ergonomic and tastefully shaped, and have been for a few years now.
I am a 70's fan of Ford trucks, but I have to admit that I spend a lot of time at car shows sitting in the new Super Duty's and King Ranch's. They are absolutely beautiful trucks, inside and out, and have such an immense presence on the road when you see them. Ford has cornered the market on aggressive looking trucks, that can actually work as hard as they look. A friend of mine has a Powerstroke with some upgrades done, and I heard from a chebby guy with a 454 all-done- up that he saw this big, black beast coming down the highway, so he floored his chebby to try and pull away. At about 100mph, this SuperDuty just dusted him like he was standing still!
I like that.
heh heh
