yardsale day with the wife pays off

Just went to a yardsale with the wife and came home with a 1950 F-6 dumptruck flathead still in it , he says it is stuck but ran when parked . Any tips for unsticking the motor ? pics to come will pick it up in the next couple days.

Remove the plugs and soak it with diesel fuel, or diesel fuel and oil, for a few days or a week to see if it comes free. If it frees up change the oil and see if you can get it to start.

Now that is a score. Your wife probably won't take you to any more yard sales though.

Are you kidding think of all the "crap" she can buy on yardsale days now and how easy it will be to haul it home and unload it with an F6 dumper

The engine alone is worth $600 if you can get it to start. Overall, the truck looks pretty decent.

It was out in the field behind the building so I asked if it was for sale and she called the owner he said 800.00 and we settled on 600.00 .My wife actually likes it which is a big plus. Best yardsale I have been to but I may start going more .
