Need help with engine compartment wiring

Hey, I'm re-wiring the truck with Rebel Wiring...really great but I've hit a snag...In their instructions there is nothing about a starter button...I'm stumped...I want to keep the button so, do i run the starter ignition wire to the button or to the key ignition?...I also, bought a alternator conversion from MID50...They have a white ignition wire that goes to the ignition...I'm stumped...another question is My key ignition switch, has three posts...#1 coil, #2 AT, then BAT?...can anyone assist me with any of this?...cheers...

I'm currently slightly ahead of you on my wiring and have no idea who made my harness(Ebay). I may have to get back to you on the starter button; others will jump in if I'm wrong. But, I'd assume that you'd have a hot wire (probably a big fat red one) running from the battery or battery side of your solenoid(what motor are you running?) to your fuse panel as your main panel feed. I'd also guess this should have a fusible link. From your panel a wire should be marked "IGN PWR" or something similar (I assume that's the "starter ignition wire" above? It should be hot at all times.); this wire should go to the BAT post on your switch. As your switch only has three posts(mine has 4), I'm guessing that it either doesn't have an ACCESORIES position or a CRANK position. After hooking up the previously mentioned wire to the BATTERY post, take your voltmeter and turn the key to the ACCESORIES position (if there is one) and see which post (probably AT?) has 12V. You can put your wipers and radio on this post( using the fused wires from your panel would probably be better if you don't have in-line fuses) . Then take your switch and turn the key to the RUN (probably COIL)position, that remaining post should have 12V. Run a wire ( I forgot how mine was marked)from there through your your starter button and then to the S(small) post on your solenoid. I think this should do you.

Recently finished my 53 with the Rebel 9+3 kit. I use my starter button also. What I did was run the IGN SW Start (Purple) wire to the starter button which has two posts. Run another wire then from the other starter button post to the IGN on the ignition switch. I believe there are 4 posts on the ignition switch, 3 around the sides and 1 in the middle. I would also recommend calling or emailing Rebel if you have any other issues. They always responded to me in less than 24 hours via email.

Good Luck!
