I thought the largest pickup you could get is a 450. Weren't the 550s chassis-cab only, and therefore too long for a pickup bed?
I think it is a modification. Lines on the bed seem strange. And the fuel cap in the rear...
It is my understanding the F450 pickup became available from the factory with the 2008 model year. What you are seeing there is a regular chassis cab with a dually bed added. Was fairly common with the earlier trucks. The bed is usually modified with a filler piece to close up the gap between the cab and bed because the wheel wells get moved a little further back on the chassis cab trucks. They did this to the F450s as well.

Greg is correct. The F-450 pickup started production with the 2008 model year. There were some companies that did conversions on F-450 and F-550 Chassis-Cab trucks. They modified Super Duty pickup beds and fitted them to the 450 / 550 chassis. They also had to be modified because the chassis-cabs had straight frame rails whereas the SD pickups had the standard pickup chassis. If you look at the pic, you'll see a portion of the filler used to extend the bed of the truck right at the front of the bed behind the cab that runs vertically.
