New 5ER question?

So I am looking at buying a new 5er
I want to purchase either a Fox valley FV25RB or a Maxum Wild 28BH
Both are bunk models the fox is 27.5 feet the Wild is 30.5feet they are within $2000 of each other. the fox will fit on my driveway no problem. the wild would be very tight to the side walk at 30.5 feet. does anyone own one of these rv's? they look like they are built very well, the fit and finish was very good on both. any pros or cons for either trailer would be appreciated.

Since they are bunk models, kids? If so, go with the 30 footer. That 3 feet will make the difference between sanity and insanity. The rigs look nice, not that familiar with the brands, but the nuts and bolts are mostly the same. If you like it, go for it, most RVers are great at adjusting to what they can do and need. Just my 2 cents!

I agree with Gearitus ^. Get the bigger one, you'll not regret the extra space!

On a 2nd note, how's the tow vehicle? Are you towing now? How's the gauge situation Keep a close eye on the Coolant temp vs the Oil temp!!!!? If you don't have 'em yet...you'll need them with the 6.0.

I agree with the comments regarding size. Although larger may seem intimidating at first, after the first thousand miles it all goes away.

Small fivers are also much hard to sell when it comes time to upgrade, which may come along sooner than you might think.

Yes Kids lol.

The size for towing does not matter to me. I have driven hwy tractors with b-trains behind me. the size matters only for my driveway, the driveway is 29ft long, the trailer would be parked there when not in use, the longer one would poke into the sidewalk about 1 1/2 feet. this is my biggest concern for length.
Gauges are being installed as we speak, dual egt, fuel, trans temp, eot ect.

The longer the better as one who lives in one 4 months out of the year the bigger the better. Wish I had a 40 footer.....

Just from looking at the pictures it appears that the Fox Valley would have a very low ceiling in the master bedroom up front, while the other one appears to be taller in front. Being over 6' tall I would prefer to have more headroom walking around the bed to crawl in at night.

be careful of the high ceilings though...there are penalties for everything. Mine is a high profile...anything under 13'6" and I am real careful about it.

Also the mpg will be worse
