Finally have some pictures to share

Well I finally got off my lazy rear and took some pics. I hope to be ready to fire it up in the next couple weeks. It's come a long way from what it started out as when I bought it.

Anyway take a look.

Nice looking. I'm glad to see a Ford in a Ford. Is that a 351? Jag

302/C6. It's what came with the truck when I bought it as a project. Have been going through and redoing most everything the PO started as I determined through my mock up things wouldn't have fit where he had them palced originally.

Finally at a point where I am installing the powertrain and suspension instead of doing multiple mock up. It's been a great learning experience for me though as this is my first classic truck project.

Some days can be frustrating but I'm mostly enjoying myself.

Looks great! I too am in that mock up....mock up...mock up...gets old when there seems to be no change! I haven't posted much on my progress because there doesn't seem to be any!
I see your stuff all painted and polished. Looks nice! I don't have anything polished...LOL! the only thing that gets my attention, when opening the garage door, is one polished wheel (Weld draglite)

I gotta get to pushing myself or this could turn into one of those "lost interest" for sale projects!
Anyway yours looks great!

Thanks,

I was starting to get a bit discouraged myself with all the mock up. I've got some renewed energy now that things are going together. Keep with it. All the mock up pays off in the end. When I set my engine in it dropped right into place. Didn't need one hammer or prybar .

They are the block huggers from Summit. The house brand with ceramic coating.

They are pretty nice but I wouldn't consider them show quality.

But I didn't pay show price

Nice looking set up! Good to see another mid fifties coming back to life. Keep up the great work as it inspires those of us that have life get in the way.
I'm at the body work stage and it is slooooow! I found the mocking up of mechanical stuff more interesting and quicker but then again if it was all easy everyone would be doing these trucks.
Keep us posted with your pics and progress.
