I'm Bleeding! Help on the oil cooler tube.

Howdy!
I started to collect a serious black blob on my driveway and finally got to checking it out last night. I was thinking gaskets on the oil cooler but it appears to be worse: the body of it has rusted through and is bleeding oil slowly:

Any tips on recovering from this? Can this part be ordered or bought?
I'd rather replace the tube than the whole thing as its a factory turbo and has more cooling fins.

I'm always open to aftermarket mods as well so if there is a better or even different system to choose from instead of repairing this one I'm interested.

IIRC navistar still sells them, AND they offer sticker shock at no extra cost!

I've wondered about doing a sandblasting on them, and 'wrapping them, then welding them up. The two I have here that rusted through the ends were still good and solid, and since they appear to be fully welded internally (versus soldered) I don't think the heat would be an issue.

I've never priced one new yet, but I keep hearing they are pricey.

I may have another source for 7.3 parts, was going to look into it anyway, so let me know if you want me to look into finding any used ones down here. (May have found a guy that parts out older 7.3 school buses.)

Ouch... yea that's pricey. Thanks for the find 84!
At least uhaul is shipping to Canada now! For some reason they originally didn't ship here... I dont know why, its not like its f*n Uzbekistan here.

Grey, if you find a source for one let me know, if you find one maybe I can send some $s and grab it when we do the ZF/Turbo trade (if you're still interested, that is!).

Looking at the factory manual, I see there are 6 O-rings in addition to the two gaskets, should I be getting all 6 of these O-rings for my rebuild? I was originally under the impression there were only two O-rings and two gaskets.

Actually there are only 4 o-rings, the ones showing as number 4 there's only one at each end, not two. I got my last couple sets at the local IH dealer, but make sure you take part numbers or old ones, as the one gasket for the manifold can be different on some of the International's.

Part numbers are as follows.
2 - Oil cooler O rings Ford 1C3Z-6K649-BA
2 - Oil cooler O rings Ford 1C3Z-6C610-BA
1 - Oil cooler gasket Ford E3TZ-6A636-G
1 - Oil cooler gasket Ford E3TZ-6A636-H

International part #s (bag of 2 rings)

-thicker ring 1804414C1
-thinner ring 1807563C1

gasket 1804378C2
gasket 1804377C4

I will see if I can get contact info for the guy down here today that might have parts.

IIRC originally there were 6 o-rings on the 6.9 they changed that just before the 7.3 was introduced

Cool, thanks a lot guys. I'll try and get a hold of some parts when I get back from the UK.
