So you get spark a for sec then nothing? Sounds like coils bad to me.
I still think your best bet would be to remove all the hacked up wiring and start fresh with a basic carb set up no computer.

id swap the coil like edge said, it cant hurt to try at this point, with all those openended connectors in there and ...other things(looks like the pep boys threw up, i kid,). you could go yard hopping and swap it to a standard carb. it might simplify thing. im not sure since im not super familiar with that whack carbojection you got goin on
