Horn does not work 2004 Excursion, fixed
Four times my horn stopped working and I sent it to the dealer. Decided to see if I could fixit myself, no longer under warantee. The two horns are located above the bumper on the passenger side. It is best to remove the pasenger wheel well cover. I didn't and it was a bear to get too. I did a test with a separate wire to see if the horns were working and the horn worked. I disconnected the two plugs from the horn and they were dirty. All I did was clean the plugs and re-connected. Bingo it worked . Evidently debris and water gets kicked up and the plugs get corosion (coroted?) and no current flows.
