it wont back up
i was out trail riding and my 99 f150 decided to loose reverse and the codes po720 and po722 keep popping up would the output speed sensor be the reason why my reverse is out?

These are just thoughts on what you report.
It may be that you have damage from the trail to the speed sensor and the shift linkage/arm seperately.
You have to get under and look.
Reverse is a manuel control function unlike the forward shifting that is done by electric control from the PCM.
