I have a 2002 f150 fx4. just got a new BDS 6" modified to a 4" with regular hydraulic shocks. I want stiffer shocks to help with the front in offroad. I got the full leaf springs for the back (no lift block). and stiffer for the back because when i hit a bump it throws the back end up.
So my question is what brand and model would you go with. I'm currently looking at bilstein 1500 series.
I am getting a 4" BDS lift and trying to decide between the BDS shocks that come with the lift and Bilsteins. I have a 2001 F250 5.4 and am going with the full leaf pack in the rear as well (no blocks). Are you happy with the full leaf pack and what effect did they have on your truck?
I don't know if this forum doesn't get a lot of traffic or maybe most people don't have a lot of experience with different shocks and can't really give advice/comparisons.
Well I love the full leaf springs. And it gave it a stiffer ride and it still rides good, but the back end tends to hop up on some hard bumps on the highway. Thats wy i need some tunable shocks. But when you get going fast off road they are perfect. But it would be a good idea to go ahead and buy the bilsteins
I just ordered Monroe Sensi-tracs for my Ranger Edge. The sale ends 10/31. $25 of with the coupon & a $25 rebate from Monroe too. Advance Parts has them
