Question

6.0 won't run

Changed turbo, it works fine when I can get the truck to start, Engine will not take fuel. When it idles if I give it any fule it seems like it is flooding and the black smoke rolls out and engine dies. Can anyone help? Thanks Tommy at hwctommy@yahoo.com

Go to the TECH FOLDER ...... there is a nice procedure on no starts!

what year is the truck.
check the wires to the vgt for damage and exposed strands at the vgt hardsell
also remove the egr vlave and inspect for carbon or a stuck open valve.

Moe - are you seeing very many VGT wiring damage issues? I don't recall that as one of the "more common" points of chaffing.

oddly I have seen a number of them latly. this seems to happen from the wires getting twisted durring repairs, and the amount of heat that devlops in the area.
