Clattering noise?

Clattering noise?
My 2009 4.6 makes this clattering noise that kinda sounds like there's moisture in the distributor, but obviously there's no distributor. It only comes from the passenger side around the floor board. It only really does it when accelerating. I think is an exhaust leak, but I wanted to see what you guys thought.
I know that the injectors make a tapping sound. It's in addition to that.

is it consistently happening on acceleration or just randomly. Because about a year ago i would be driving under light acceleration and all of a sudden i would get a sound that sounded like someone shaking a tin can full of screws from the front end, but as soon as i would let off the gas it would go away. it might have happened around 4-6 times over a 6 month period at random times.
