HELP!!!!!! Shifting problems now.
Ok. I just finished changing out my intake manifold with the new one on my 1988 F250 XLT Lariat 7.5/460 EFI and I noticed an aluminum line that looks like it's coming from the transmission up to right behind the throttle body. I don't remember disconnecting any type of hose from it but I think it's a vacuum line for the transmission. I don't see amt where it should go. Does anyone know if it is in fact a vacuum line and would that cause my shifting problems? I can hear the tranny winding when I accelerate and I'll be doing about 45 before it roughly shifts out of first gear. Would a vacuum line cause that? Where does it go? It was shifting fine before I changed the intake manifold. I already reset the computer and no dice. Please help.

You didn't say what trans, but if it's a C6 it will need vacuum to shift correctly, look at the passenger side rear of the trans and see if there is a "can" with a vacuum hose going to the middle of it.. If so find a manifold vacuum port for the line.. If it's an E4OD it wont have vacuum lines, with a 460 those are the most common transmissions.
