Gotts mod + ram air?

Hey guy's, I have an idea but don't have a clue if it'll work. I've done the gotts mod already, but want a little cooler air running into the fender. So my idea was to run some type of ram air setup into the fender to assist with cooling the air. Here's my problem, I feel like a complete quarter whit trying to figure out how to run some flex hose into the fender. Could I take the original filter out of the air box and attach a filter on the end on my intake pipe(gotts mod)? Would the MAF have to be relocated? I would make my own box to cover the filter and have a hole in the bottom for my flex pipe to attach. What do you guys think? Any input would be great, good or bad.

Thanks!

IMO, the only way to get any "cooler" air into the engine, besides the Gotts mod into the fender, would be to run piping to the front of the truck. The air in the fender well is surely cooler than the engine bay, but the front of the truck will pull the coolest ambient temps, and you'll get a little "ram" effect b/c of it.
I would speak with the guys @ PHP or Mike @ 5 Star about the effects on the MAF, etc.

Yeah that's what I want to do. Sorry that I didn't mention that at first. I would like to run a pipe from the front and too the bottom of the box that I'll be making so that (hopefully) it will give a little cold air to the box. I have a K&N in the stock filter box and after reading some reviews, I might go with a AEM or a AF 1 filter on the end of my intake tube and leave the stock air box open. I'd like to pick Bill's brain about this like you said so I'll send him a message soon.

I wouldn't over think something that will only add a handfull of horsepower. If you want cooler air from the front then one of these kits would work.
