So, I picked up an 03 Super Duty about a month and a half ago. 183k on the odo and a previous owner who, to put it mildly, knew very little about diesel trucks (not that I am an expert, by any means).
I'd like to get this thing hooked up to AE to find out everything that I possibly can about the condition of the motor and other pieces. Mostly to identify what needs to be corrected now and what I need to anticipate replacing in the near future.
I consider AE to be an affordable purchase, just not right now. Too many ankle biters in the budget with my 72 Bronco likely needing a new wiring harness and a Dana 20 rebuild soon.
So, is there someone along the Colorado Front Range, close to Colorado Spring perhaps, who might be willing to meet up for a day and show me exactly what Auto Enginuity can tell me about my truck? I can compensate you for your time with frosty cold beverages or the means to purchase them, if you so desire.
You might want to PM Pocket (aka Curtis) and see what he can do for you. He has an AE, lives in Parker and is very sharp with these trucks. Plus he's a super nice guy. I don't have an AE (yet) or else I would take a trip to the Springs...
Thank ya Chris. IIRC, Pocket was the guy who was working earlier this year to create his own custom tunes for his truck. I think I've also read some stuff on Guzzle's page that Pocket wrote.
Is that at Bandimere? I might just have to cruise down there.
Yes sir. I plan to run. Gonna try to get up to PFI before hand and hook up to the dyno for some tuning tweaks. I want to try and hit 450 hp on the dyno, then let her rip on the track and see what it'll run. Let's just pray the rods stay together
