Front of Engine Oil Leak, NOT HPOP

Ok, so after I cleaned up the valley and got my turbo pedestal swapped and new O-rings, no more leak in the valley or back of the engine.

The fron however, is covered. Not sure from what, was origionally thinking LPOP, but now I think it's something else... not sure the name tho. Pics are attached, LMK what you think.

Thanks in advance!

Could be a leak at the front mount of the oil cooler. Sure looks like it. Clean it up and watch it.

I agree with Robin. It looks oiliest at the connection of the engine oil cooler end housing to the timing cover.

Hopefully the internal o-rings are OK.

Any trace of oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil?

Check the degas bottle for any sign of oil.

My last Blackstone Report was 5,500 miles ago and everything was great. No oil in coolant, coolant looks fine, although it's getting switched to ELC in another 4k miles.

I was thinking cooler myself, but wanted others opinions. Curious how to clean the SOB... not really any space to get degreaser up in there and NO good angles to hit it with the hose, either. Ugh. Any ideas on a fix, or is it new oil cooler time?

It's not coming from the corner of the pan is it? Put on some goggles and spray some degreaser up there.

You can get new gaskets and o-rings. That is all that is usually needed.

Guzzle's oil cooler gaskets and o-rings. There is also an instruction PDF download.

Yuck. I will clean/confirm tomorrow... but like I said... I was pretty sure that was it.

Well, at least it coincides with my ELC switchover. Add this to the list I guess, thanks for the link. I have been on Bob's site a ton of times and never see it there.

Oh well, live and learn. I will add this to my list with the 203* TS, Housing, ELC Coolant, New Hoses, and now Oil Cooler Gaskets/O-rings.

Thanks again. *EDIT* Tried to Rep ya but couldn't. I'll try again another time!

I did mine last summer. Used a bar-clamp to press the ends on. A pipe clamp would be better.
The bar-clamp flexed quite a bit but got the job done.

Don't worry about the reps. It's the thought that counts. Thanks. I can't get anymore greenies anyway.

I used some TransGel on the O-rings and pressed down on the housings against a block of wood using my body weight like Cody did in his write up.

I have PLENTY of body weight to use, lol.

Do you have a link to the writeup, or at least the title so I can find it?

I couldn't get enough behind behind it.

I'm just a light weight.

Had to resort to brains over brawn.
