Will a manifold from a 85 302/5.0 fit a 93 5.0? I think there were some changes made somewhere in there.

I'm sure the manifold will fit. But I think there may have been 2 different versions; one for the regular 302, and the other for the HO engine. Obviously the HO version would be better, as that came with the 4 bbl carburetor.

What I am looking at is a Ford manifold, Motorcraft 4 BBL, and air cleaner.

Yes, that should fit. That was the last year of the carbureted HO engines, and were much sought after by hot-rodders, as they could still avoid the hassles of EFI. But since you're converting to carb from efi, you will need to use the correct fuel pump. The EFI pump runs at ~40 psig, while the carb needs 5-8 psig.

I have a long block roller cam out of a 94 or so Mustang GT (supposedly). It needs a lot, among which is this. One day it will replace the Yblock in my 54 F100. It has a small electric fuel pump.

Just use a carb'd truck timing cover and mechanical fuel pump. This will also let you run the truck accessory drive and water pump.

to convert the EFI motor to carb / duraspark II ignition system pickup an '85 Mustang, 5speed dizzy. It's vacuum advance, DSII, and has the correct gear for the roller cam. I bought mine new from advanced auto parts for ~$50, the cheapest i could find the right gear was ~$40 and then i still would've had to rebuild the dizzy.

one other tidbit a stock replacement '89 mustang timing set is a double roller setup for ~$30, aftermarket dbl roller setups run $100+
