air conditioner surging

I have a situation that just started. My AC air output has started to surge. The scenario is extreme heat outside (105f) and I have the AC on high blowing out the dash vents (not on auto) and recirculating. The intensity of the air output would surge periodically. Is there any kind of vacuum leak that could be causing this?? I have a scanguage connected and my water and oil were 199/205.Thanks in advance for any help.

Its gotten worse. The pulsing was last night. This morning it won't come on at all. The ac control panel has lights but no air at all.. Vents won't blow with or without the ac.engaged.

Is the fan not coming on? Or is it that the fan is running but no air. You should be able to hear the fan.

I'm very familiar with the electronic controls. Can you manually set the fan speed?

If it's that the fan just isn't running, there is a fan speed controller that might need replaced. It's in the engine compartment I can get a diagram if you need it.

Correct.. The fan does not come on at all even when I manually adjust fan speed. I can hear the ac compressor clutch engaging under the hood while it's running. Is the control module your talking about easy to access?? Schematic would be great. Thanks.

I think the first thing to do is to look at the wiring at the fan connector. It's under the hood at the rear on the passenger side. You can easily see the fan motor and the connector for it. Check the connector over carefully and look for any signs of corrosion, burning, melting or arcing.

If that is OK, then you probably need the fan speed controller. The diagram shows what the controller looks like and about where it is. If I recall correctly, it will be attached to the air box.
