Spike in oil pressure?
I have a 390 with less than 500 miles. As I was driving home this evening I noticed a marked increase in oil pressure, and to a lesser degree, temp as well.
The oil pressure gauge went from halfway to almost bumping the end of the normal bracket, and the temp went from low side to halfway.
This is the first time I've noticed this symptom. The only change is that the break-in oil is out and I have 10/30 with 8 oz. of Lucas zinc additive. Dipstick reading is normal. Also, heads seemed a little noisy.
Thoughts?

If you are using the stock gauges, the only way to tell is to get some REAL gauges...
I suspect, if you are using the stock gauges, that the "voltage regulator" in the dash cluster has stuck closed, and is giving the gauges full 12 volts.
Either that, or your alternator voltage regulator is stuck on full, and the alternator is overcharging.
Check the voltage at the battery with it idling and see what it is, and report back.
Then, we can work on the rest
