I bought a used 2005 f350- i just installed a juice with atitude programer, but when i was running the wire through the grommet i noticed a couple wires bundled up with a switch. I was wondering if somebody give me some advice or info. One of these wires attaches to a red and orange wire thats in a bundle under the dash.
Are the wires you found a grouping of about four wires that seem to go no where? If you are looking at what I am thinking you are, they do nothing.
There are 4 wires under the dash that go through the firewall to above the master cylinder. They end there, not plugged into anything on either end. They are there so you can install lights, gauges, etc, without having to run a bunch of wires. Ford was being friendly by putting them there for us.

Just curious, why did you go with Edge vice Banks?
Ummm, i have used edge in my old dodge and loved it. so mainly my reasoning was it was something i was familair with. And just towed with it on the ford and it made me happy.

And no i know these wires, i plan on getting a set of uplifter switches and using a wire from that bundle for a high idle. This wire im talking to someone installed a push button and ran it up into the wire harness up under the dash by the steering wheel, in the harness it connects to a orange and red wire.
thats what i thought to but i dont think it is as the switch is like a push button, doesnt really seem to stay. you push it and it just comes back out. i will try and get a picture
Red with orange stripe, or orange with red stripe?
A quick look at the wiring diagrams, I see an orange wire with red stripe in the upfitter bundle, and a red wire with orange stripe from the VSM to the left front door lock switch.
There may be other orange and red wires too, I didn't dig too deep because I didn't really know what I was looking for. I saw a few orange and pink wires, too. Are you sure of the colors?
And, one side of the switch connects to this orange/red wire, where does the other side of the switch connect?
