Check engine light..

My friend has a 01 f250 7.3. he changed to aftermarket glow plugs and now the check engine light will not go off.. any help ??

He may not have gotten the connectors all on properly, but he will need to scan the truck with a compatible scanner to find out what the code is before we can do anymore than speculate, does it seem to run ok?
