I plan to purchase a new 350 diesel crew cab dually, but not until Ford solves the problems with "death wobble," rear suspension thump, major transmission issues (shifts to 1st, 2nd, then neutral for 5 seconds, then back to 1st at very high rpm, then 2nd, 3rd and 5th - or some variation of that sequence. Has anyone had these issues and had them resolved? I'll be carrying my family and a 4,200 lb camper, so these could be dangerous/fatal problems. If Ford can't solve these problems soon, I may go to a S------do. Can you tell me your experience with the 2011 and whether you would ever consider the C--vy? Thanks
Sounds like you have enough worries with the Superduty that a Chevy may just be a good choice for you. Reading your post makes one believe that the Superduty is a death trap. If I honestly believed that, I wouldn't buy one.
We were ready to order a F350 too now we are in a holding pattern. Chances are you are going to have at least tranny and maybe CEL issues for starters.
With my Luck I'd have everything like my last Ford F150 so no new Ford SD for now.

How many people frequent this 6.7 forum and how many can claim major issues? I guess I am just one in a million lucky!
MY MY don't we have an attitude I've had zero, zero problems with mine if you load the equipment properly and don't try to race the beast you wont have the problems you think are there.
I want to hear from everyone who has not had these troubles (as well a those that have had them) to see how prevalent they are. I've had both gmc and ford vans in the 80s. The ford was trouble free and the gmc had continual problems. I really want the Ford, AFTER they fix the problems. But I need the truck within the next couple of months.
Granted I only have 1100 miles on mine but, death wobble? Transmission problems?...... Not a one. I had to laugh at the rear suspension "thump" one.......you do realise that these are heavy duty trucks and when you drive them with no load in them they do "thump and bump" a bit......
Me and my brother both bought 350 club cab dually's at the same time, mine being an early 2011 production and my brothers being an April 2011 production. We both have had zero issues, and we drive these trucks all day for a living and as our personal vehicles. Now again I drive and pull with my truck daily, but I don't race it @ high RPM's either. I don't think I would want a diesel if I were going to rev it to "very high rpm's".
sounds like you need a chevy - I have one I'll sell you cheap, the allison just puked on it and we need to replace it.
I've had zero issues with my 2011, and when someone comes in our shop with a 2011, I ask them about it - so far none of the people I've ran across have seen these issues.
I don't doubt some people have problems, but I wouldn't consider them widespread.
I have a major issue with my F350. Every time press on the throttle too quickly, all the crap on my dash, sunglasses, phone, CDs, etc, gets launched onto the middle seat.

5k miles on mine so far-no problems. I carry my family and a 9k TT, does great. The only problem I have is cars slowing me down while I'm climbing mountains.
