Hope you have a speedy recovery. In 5 or 6 weeks the temps in MS might be back below 100. At least you know your job is waiting on you...rest easy.

Made it home! I was finally discharged yesterday at 1800 and am at home. I just also want to say that I have the most awesome, wonderful, loving, beautiful angel of a wife - she is taking really good care of me!

We went to the doctor this afternoon to get the staples removed. Everything went very well. The doc said he was amazed at the speed of my recovery - and he cleared me to go back to work (light duty) on Monday! He told me he didn't think he'd ever seen someone recover from back to back surgeries this quickly...AND I GET TO GO BACK TO WORK ON MONDAY!!!!

Nope, I'm from New Orleans not West Virginia

Doc said that occurs in 1 in 100,000 people - he's writing an article for the Medical Journal documenting my case. The funny part is he was completely surprised last Wednesday at how fast I was recovering - he said he's never seen anyone be up on their feet ready to go back to work just two weeks after having back-to-back abdominal surgeries.

Today was my first day back to work and I am exhausted but VERY happy to be back!
