Does anyone know if a f-150 bed is the same as a f-250 bed. thinking of getting a topper for my f-250, there seems to be more f-150 toppers on ebay or craigs list. I cant find it anywhere on line..THANKS
I have a short bed on the F250 and it's 6'10" long. When I pull up next to a F150, they seem shorter. You might want to ask how long they are.
There are also a lot more F150's on the road then F250's, so that may be why you see so many more for sale.
I just looked on Ford.com and it looks like the F150 has a 6.5' bed and the Super Duty has a 6.75' bed. But both have 8' beds if you have that option.
The Super Duty width at the floor is 69.3" and the F150 is not stated. But between the wheel wells is only 50" where as the F250 is 50.3".
So to answer you question, it does not look like the 2 are interchangeable.
Long bed caps may work if the cap just sits on the bed rails and does not overhang at all. There's usually room to spare on those. I had a cap on my 2000 that was from a '97 F-250. A guy with a long bed F-150 interested in it when I was selling it and it would've fit (we measured it, never officially tried it though).
