After I got out of the truck today in the heat (I was wondering if my A/C wasn't up to snuff)
Then the heat hit me I was ready to turn around and pull it all right back to Alaska!!!
Just be careful and take it very easy. This heat and humidity ain't no joke, especially for someone who isn't used to it. I'm about 5 hours south of Kansas City and today we broke the record for consecutive days here of 100* plus at 18.
And you all say Phoenix is hot, no humidity here you all drink lots of water we do it every year and it's second nature for us but so many times I see people cone visit who only drink a soda od coffee, just some advice from the desert dwellers for ya all a quart an hour over 110, an hour and a half over 105, and two hours over 100!
Jim...& fat Monty
Good advice. H2O is boss--as they taught us in search & rescue, coffee (caffine) dehydrates. BTW, I spent my Alaska time at Shemya...in '72.
About AFSC (I meant Air Force Speciality Code), cop that was easy--your SP badge on your logo.
how's the rest of your trip going?
I'm new to driving a diesel, so I hear wierd sounds, do those rookie oops, and leak check the driveway in the AM before I take off... My diesel advice is these folks at FTE, they have been a God-send.
