I have a 2006 F350 and the brake / signal / hazard fuse keeps blowing.
I have checked the trailer plug, wires running to the back of the truck, disconnected the brake controller and fuse still blows. I even put a board against the brake pedal and left the brake lights on for 15 minutes . I checked the steering column for chafed wires by the turn signal switch and all looked good. I have left the hazard and turn signals on for 10 minutes and no blown fuse. I then take the truck on the road and the fuse could last anywhere from 30 seconds to 25 minutes. It seem like it blows when using the turn signals. Does anyone know if the signal switch assembly is known to break a lot ? This about all that I can think of that would cause this.
Thanks !
Was the RS aftermarket? I hate after market RS's and they seem to be nothing but trouble. I had a friend that had one, one day he was unable to turn the car off. The car ran all day till he got out of work to take it back to the shop. It was out of warranty so the shop charged him to disconnect. Obviously my friend has no mechanical ability...
