Transmission Question
I need to replace a transmission on a 1992 ranger. I believe it has the 3.0L V6 and its an auto tranny and it has 18 bolts down on the pan. Anyone know what tranny that might be?

And i ran into another problem, it looks like a vacuum line on the back of the pass side of the transmission. when i dropped the old one, a metal line dropped with the transmission? where does the other end connect to?

The metal line is connected to manifold vacuum up near the throttle body by a piece of hose. The other{lower} end of the metal tube connects to the vacuum modulator, on the passenger side, again by a piece of hose.
If you remove the modulator, be careful to keep track of the 'pin' that goes inside the modulator if you remove it. They are difficult to source.
