I had Sherwin Williams 4th Dimension 5B intermix mixed up today. A quart of winter green and limestone green for my 73 F100.
They gave me Dimension DH654 Hardener. Is this what I need for the basecoat? Will this work with the clear to?
What clear and primer do I need to go with it? This is my fist time with this line of paint and I don't know what all goes together. I have been shooting Valspar when I paint a tractor. Thanks for any help.
I am not sure what the products used are with Sherwin Williams, but it should be easy to look up on there website for the tech data sheets. Or just go back to where it was mixed at and have them give you copies of it (they should have anyways)
As for dumping it in a ditch and getting good stuff, I know someone who uses SW paint where they work and he likes it. Says it covers and sprays nice. I also visited a shop that restores mainly old british sports cars (MG's, Triumphs, Etc) and they use it as well. I looked over a few cars that were just painted and also got to see one being painted while there. I have to say I was impressed with it. It did cover great and spray nice from what I saw.
However I am into other lines as that is what I used to use at my friends body shop, so I wont be using SW paint.
