Rim size

Hey guys I have done some research but I wanted to come here to get a definate answer. Will a set of rims off of a 79 F250 4x4 have the same bolt pattern as a 85 F250? I know the 85 is supposed to be 8 on 6.5 but I can't seem to get a definate size for the 79 to know if they will fit. Also what do you guys think of the old Western Wheel turbine rims on our body style? Thanks in advance.

Yes they will fit as far as bolt pattern if they are both 8 lug. Make sure the hole in the middle is big enough for the 4x4 hub.

If the 8 lug wheels on a 6.50" bolt circle are from a F250/350 or E250/350, there is no specific 4WD wheel. The only difference is SRW vs DRW.

Thanks guys. Is it safe to assume that since the 79 was a 4x4 the hub size should be the same size?

The hole in the middle is the same. The smaller hubs will have a gap between the hub and the rim, and the large hub will have less of a gap.
