55 F-250 Stock rim and tire size
Im trying to put stock wheels on my 55 F-250 and I'm having a hard time trying to find out the stock rim and tire size for the F-250. I know that the F-100 had 16x4.5 in rims but does the f-250 have the same dimensions or is it because it's a heavier duty truck it had wider rims.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I tried to give the answer to this question in post #6 of this thread. Yes, the F-250 rims were wider, 6.00" vs 4.50", and have stronger 8 bolt pattern, to handle the added load capacity. Stu

The 17" x 5.5" wheel is the widow maker Budd 49380 having the Firestone RH-5° outer rim. I didn't mention these because they aren't a sensible option today. Mentally I sped right past the widow maker in the earlier post because of the 28" tire size. The 17" would be 34" tall, so it was clear the truck has the 16" set. Stu
