Had the flash installed today with oil change. Dealer did not complain whatsoever when I asked for the flash. It definitely shifts better, smoother, crisp 1 - 2, 2 -3....downshifting smoother too. Seems like the engine is throatier....more turbo whistle...my imagination?Truck takes off like a raped ape...now its as quick as my 97 7.3! I'm very happy with it.
I also had the flash for the shifting issue. It made a world of difference in my truck.
And I also notice a change in the sound of my truck, but I have 16,000 miles on it now so I thought it was just getting broke in.To me it sound more like a Diesel.

It has helped most of my shifting issues. I do think my MPG has dropped a little since the flash according to the "lie-o-meter". I was getting about 17 going back and forth to work, now I am getting about 15.5.

Has anyone else seen a drop in MPG's?

Too early to tell for me. I'm gonna run it down below 20 miles then refuel and see what the lie-o-meter says.
I only have a couple of hundred miles since the trans flash. Definitely a noticeable difference in the lower gears, but I'm still getting a rough 4-5 shift under certain conditions. I've been just waiting a while to let the transmission re-learn. But again, much smoother out of the gate through 4th and it does seem to have more immediate throttle without the delay then "wham!" that it had before.
I'm also seeing a decline in mileage but like I said, I haven't run though one tank of fuel yet so giving it some time...

Last week, I completed the latest flash in conjunction with the NOX sensor issue and what I noticed is a worsening lag in the go pedal. It was bad and is now horrible. To the point where I am taking it back to the dealer to see if there is a TSB on it. I'm talking 4 full seconds from press and go. Like 1 mississippi, 2 etc... and this is when I pull off a light or entering the freeway, from a stop or rolling, pressing hard or easing into it.
Anyone come across this before?
Yeah my truck does this itermiittently. They have thrown everything at it to no avail. I am now running a flight recorder for the second time to see if they can log any new data. Mine will sometimes just fall flat on its face when you push the accelerator and is very dangerous if you happen to pull out in front of a truck on a highway expecting to go and it doesn't could get ran over and injured very severely. Makes me scared to wanna drive the truck.
I have noticed that the best acceleration I get is when I push the throttle down about 1 1/2 inches. Flooring the pedal just seems to produce a prearranged, steady, slower than I want, acceleration. IDK
Try it. See if it works. I know we have a built in instinct to mash the pedal down and it should go faster. That doesn't seem to apply with this beast.

Thanx, I'll try that. I just know it didnt used to be that way and I'm wondering if maybe ford didnt add something to their TSB soup?
