Multiple Failures
Suggestions?
My 1991 F150, 5.0L, 4WD, E4OD, on two occasions has done the the following: sudden loss of power, no drive (D) in tranny (1,2, and R are OK), very odd odor (hot exhaust smell). Codes are all over the map. After a brief rest I regain all normal functions.
Cat converter is new, runs great, and shifts great at other times. When battery disconnected and reconnected - engine light out, no codes, no problems. Any and all suggestions appreciated! Thanks in advance, Ken in VA.
