Columbus for the meeting place as I think it's probably about as centrally located as we can get.
As for time, between my kids sports, I don't have a lot of it, but a sunday would be best for me.

Also, are we a member if we're on the board, or is there something else we have to join? I'm only on the board almost everyday (at least reading), but haven't really joined anything, or payed any money to anyone.

Columbus sounds good to me also. If anybody heading that way from East of Zanesville wants to, we could meet up at my house and convoy over or something. Twenty Ford trucks on I-70 would look impressive. Let me know.

I have to agree with going to Columbus but I don't know the area well enough to suggest an actual place. I would like a big parking lot, though or at least big enough to park my F350 CrewCab Dually.

Here are the dates I can go, in May.
5-16-04 Sun
5-22-04 Sat
5-23-04 Sun
Maybe dates
5-9-04 Sun
5-15-04 Sat

I also would suggest 12:00 noon or later as the time.

I'll keep an eye on this thread
Eric

Columbus sounds good, but like most other folks don't know where...also Sunday Afternoons are good for me, maybe we could do like Bruin52 from the west side and convoy east..That would be cool!!!

Not-so newbie jumping in!

Gentlemen,

NE Ohio checking in here, good day! I subscribed to this site years ago as brewcrew, but then other things became more important. I 're-enlisted' some time last year, but really just browse it now more than put in my two-cents (which I used to do a LOT!)

I can't argue with Columbus as it is centrally located. I do, however, have a suggestion. What about the Ohio State Fairgrounds on the north side of town? Even if we actually go somewhere else to have the meeting (this is assuming I will actually be able to attend), we would at least have a starting place. I believe there is a Max & Irmas near there for chow!

I purchased my '02 F-250 SD in Columbus, as a matter of fact!! From a Toyota dealership, no less! They never saw a truck so big!

I checked the Fairgrounds event schedule and it appears that May 9th and May 16th (Sundays, both) are open dates so there would be no problem with parking or anything.

I've only been there for horse shows (Quarter Horse Congress) and would not know a specific building in order to set up a meeting, I'll leave that suggestion to someone more local.

Just thought I'd throw that out to the group, nice to meet all of you.

Hey guys,

See, now I can't shut-up! After parousing some of the other threads in this chapter, it seems that some of 'us' will be in Lima, the weekend of the 16th. Make sense to combine that show with a Chapter meeting?

Sounds like we need to meet up at Freightrains place for a moving party. Actually, I like the Fairgrounds idea that RUNVS put up. It's centrally located, easily accessable, and enough room for everybody. How much more time do we have until the poll and the deal is finalized Ray?

i will be posting the poll this saturday, and lets end it.. say....weds night. i think that should be enough time to decide where we will meet. i'll try to scout out a couple of places. i think that i will be attending the lima show also. i'd like to hook up some of the hoosier's. Columbus does sound like a good place to meet up.

freightrain, i'd be willing to move your car .......down the quarter mile track

Ya, I hear ya. That's the problem...all my friends are darn glad to offer to move the cars/trucks from old to the new, but not worry about all the BOXES of stuff. Go figure.

There is a swap meet in Springfield at exit 59, runs May 28-30 cost 6 bucks to get in and there is food and such already there. Been going up there the last couple years and enjoyed wandering around and seeing whats for sale and eating (real good at that part). Might be a place to meet???? Parking would not be big deal. They also have swap meets Sept. 10-12 and Nov. 13 & 14. check out their web site: http://www.ohioswapmeet.com/pages/Info.html
