When I pulled out the lever for removing my tranny it was in neutral I believe. I tried to insert the stick in today and tighten it down and it feels like it clicks, but it doesn't match my shift pattern. Basically I don't have alleys for my shift pattern but rather can spin the stick seemingly 360*. The only possible thing that I can think of outside of incorrect installation is that my clutch slave cylinder being non existent is causing an issue. Any ideas?
The problem's not master cylinder related. It sounds as if the tip of the shifter hasn't engaged the selectors.
I would lift the shifter out again & check (looking down into the trans) that all three selectors are central, & in line with each other (side by side). That will confirm that the transmission is in neutral.
Then check that the pin, or pins, that should be in the shifter housing are in place & are tight.
NP435 transmissions have two pins; I think T18/19 transmissions only have one. They engage in the slots in the shifter to stop it from rotating in your hand.
If OK so far, feed the lever down into slot formed by the three selectors, & engage the pin(s) into the ball slot(s), without moving the selectors.
Screw down the cap (Borg Warner), or rotate the keeper into place (New Process), & you should be all go.
PS - I've been assuming a 4-speed trans here, but it still applies to others.
Yes sir, it is a t19 BW trans. I've been working like 16 or 17 hour days with the time spent on my pickup so my brain is kind of mush.
So if for some reason it isn't in neutral, what can I do to rectify that issue? Would it be possible that the pins or the ***** fell out of my trans? It was never rolled just tipped a bit each direction on install.

On the left side/drivers side of my transmission (looking down through the floor, I notice roughly near the threads on the top there is a hole pretty small, but there is nothing in there...
What would the worst case scenario be? Based on my luck lately it will be the case. But none the less tomorrow I'm taking a break from work and the truck and do some relaxing. Just hoping to get some ideas here. Also browsing through my Ford book.
Worst case scenario would be that the pin has come out & dropped into the transmission when the shifter was removed. The ball can't fall off - it's part of the shifter.
If the selectors are all in line & central, looking down into the trans, it's in neutral.
I agree with Ken - look down inside the thing from the top look how the shifter interacts with the parts below.
My T18 has a pin (steel dowel) that goes in the hole in the threads you describe; IIRC it's pretty small (less than half an inch long as I remember) it serves as a guide for the shifter lever itself and rides in a channel (or groove) in the shifter, keeps everything aligned.
It is held in place by the threaded-on cover.
I believe the T19 is the same.
Very important part, don't lose that.
Worst-case scenario that I can think of is that it's fallen inside; if that's the case, with any luck, it has fallen to the bottom and can be retrieved by removing the side PTO cover.
Worst-case scenario without luck being on your side has that thing falling between some gear cogs and getting stuck in there, out of reach of a flexible grabber tool. I'd guess you'd have to pull the top of the tranny off to locate and retrieve the thing, or maybe shake it around upside down to get it to fall out.
Because the pin hangs over the shifter hole it would tend to fall in if loose, but it's always possible that the pin fell OUTWARDS when the shifter came out........you might be lucky & have it lying there on the ground, or on the top of the transmission

Yup.
Here is from the 1982 Ford shop manual (pin in blue):
I found the pin on the side of my truck, I noted it a few days ago and it clicked once I heard about it being in there. Regarding the neutral status, If I take a picture of it and then upload it can someone take a look? Also, once that pin is in I assume that is all I do?
I looked in and some how the first gear was selected. I fixed that, slid it in and slid the pin in. I hooked up the new 800cca battery, drive lines and it moved with out clutch noise! I still need to bleed my slave a bit more I think, and my brakes. It fired up first key turn today after sitting for a couple of weeks.
Idled right down to 700 when I kicked it down and purred like a kitten. The heat gauge climbed a bit towards the mid-high range of the scale. I turned the heat to high to dissipate some heat, and shut it down. I figured that I will investigate tomorrow. For now I am in a super stoked mood!
