Another OD light issue

I have a 2000 F-350 dually. I am having an intermittent problem with the the OD light. The symptoms are after coming to a complete stop the OD light starts flashing and when trying to move forward it feels as if the brakes are dragging and sometimes stalls out the engine. The codes read with a Superchip 1705 are p1670,p0720, and P0503. When I shift into park, the engine rpms jump from idle to about 1500-1600. I have replaced both the differential VSS and the transmission OSS but still have the same problem.

Any suggestions, would be greatly appreciated.

The P0720 code doesn't mean replace the OSS. It means the computer can't read a signal from the OSS. Most of the time that means a broken wire between the OSS and the PCM.

Mark, thanks for the reply. Do you know if the wiring associated with this sensor is the same one that develops a short in the steering column?. It appears that if I don't use the turn signals the frequency of the problem decreases.

I know that the OSS wiring is not the same as the wiring in the steering column. Both go to the PCM, but they are separate.
