Hey guys, I have a good set of D8OE heads that I would like to put on a D2 block, however I'm noticing the water passages are a bit different than the D2OE heads. Will the D8OE heads work on the D2 block?
I'm not an expert on the 302 but I think they will work. Compare the head gasket to the head and the block to make sure all the coolant passages line up.
Hi guys, thanks for the responses. I went outside and took some pictures of a couple sets of core heads that I have. One set is a D00E set, and the other is a D80E set that needs rebuilt. I have another set that I would like to use, but looking at the water jackets, I'm not sure will work. Here's a few pictures:
D8's make better door stops than cylinder heads. Why do you want to use them? They have horrible quench, small valves, and huge chambers that result in low compression ratios.
