steering system lockout

I had a power steering leak in my F250 HD Diesel. So to get to the leak i cranked the steering wheel to the right and then turned the truck off. When I was going to start back up to see if fixed the steering collum was locked and there was no slack to turn either way to start the truck up. How do i disengauge the lock manuely?

steering system lockout

try jacking up the front of the truck off the ground and release the pressure on the system. there has to be some play in the steering shaft.
