Taking about running 5.8 off of a 5.0 computer. And the batch fire injection. Firing order is not the problem.

Most all the trucks use batch fired FI , except the 94 + trucks that had MAF and all 302 HOs , they have sequential injection.....Lew

The mustangs use sequential fired injection , and use the HO 351 FO , the stock truck intake is a good and will work fine with the GT-40 heads....

Alright guys, found out today why a 5.0 computer won't work on the 5.8.

The 5.8 computer hold the injectors open just a hair longer to dump more fuel (longer stroke). The problem with the 5.0 computer is not the firing of the injectors, its the fuel ratio and fuel curve.

A 5.8 will run off of a 5.0 computer, it will just be lean. So you have to have a 5.8 computer or a chip. Unless you have mass air, the 5.0 mass air will work with the 5.8 cause of the mass air sensor instead of a map sensor.
