Source for Ford Emblem?

Does anyone know what other Ford vehicles use the same emblem the '82+ trucks do on the grill? Ours measure 7" long and 2 13/16" wide. Thought if there's another vehicle that uses one the same size we could adapt it even if it mounted differently.

Yes, I know that NPD et al have them, but I'm either too cheap to buy a new one or too green to let a used one fade away.

Over here (New Zealand) it was about 30% cheaper to buy that same badge as a Ford tractor part, than to go through the various other truck sources. Maybe that can work there for you too.
There's a couple of different sized badges, but the one that matches our trucks is the identical part & fits straight on.

Cool. Maybe literally given that it is your winter. I'll check that out if I don't find out that something like the 2001 Ford minivan used one the same size. But, thanks again. That might be the way to go.

E7TZ-9842528-A PLATE (NAME) Fits 82/ F100/350 & Bronco; 83/ E150/350; 88/ F(SuperDuty) Text Section 400, page 11

Ed www.partsguyed.com can sell you this for about $25; look up the part number on his site to see all kinds of vehicles it supposedly fits (aside from what I've listed).

There are craploads of other places that have this, too; Green Sales has 26

Emblem in my truck came out of a wrecked '01 F-150. Everything lined right up.

That's the kind of info I was wanting! Thanks. Should be able to find one of those at a junk yard in lots better shape than a 30 year old one.

And, thanks ctubutis as well. But, I'm too tight to pay new prices, especially when they apparently still used that part or something very close as late as 10 years ago. I'm hoping to find a ..... scientifictermdeleted... bunch of them.

In my favorite yard, everything 10 years old & newer is in a different lot the public doesn't have access to, gotta ask somebody to get you something.

So, IOW, I rarely see those things in the yard.

Oh, I forgot to say "Dark and cold and wet!" Send some of it down our way, please - the cold and the wet as we have the dark. Oh yes, that was another thread.

Further, not far east of here "in my favorite yard" has a different meaning - front, side, but rarely back. Sounds like a Foxworthy joke.

Anyway, I will be looking for the later emblems for the front. I have 3 of these trucks and probably 5 grills all together and not one good emblem.

My neighbor's sister wrecked it and somehow he ended up with the in-tact grille and emblem. I saw it and talked him into giving it to me :-X0

As far as i know those emblems were the same up to the '04 F150 (Heritage Edition) but the newer bodies the emblem got a little bigger.

S85 - Excellent info! Thanks. If we could come up w/a good list of donor vehicles whose emblems fit maybe we could have a stickie on this.

Make a thin, negative shape card template of the emblem you're looking for and take it to a yard and use it to determine the size you need. You never know what vehicle has the emblem size you need; you could find it on the back of a Ford Taurus or E series van or... . Good Luck!

Good idea. Then I wouldn't need to take my calipers or tape measure.

Mine is off the back of a Ranger, instead of bolting on, it's on with 3M tape.
