Is it just me, or in country music, newer country that is.....There are many great female artists...Then there's Reba....And then there's everyone else....
Just a awesome performer IMHO, and has voice that even the late Patsy Cline would be jealous of....
The voice is natural. Been at it for a long time, well before they could digitally enhance it. She had the power in her voice when she got started back in the late 70's - early 80's.

Like I said, I admire her.
As far as being 100% natural, they did a show on singers who have their voices digitally enhanced. She was one of them.
The voice naturally changes over the years. Ask David Lee Roth when he tries to hit one of the highs.
To stop the "change", the singers get some digital help. It's one thing they won't admit to though.
"country" music hasn't been anything that resembles country music for at least 20 years. there are some that know where their roots came from, but most don't.

Kinda odd, then, that she sounds exactly the same live. Just sayin'.
She really puts on a great show.

This.
I own very little country music, but what I do have is old school. Most of today's music relies on visual appearances. Old school did not. Do a You-Tube on a few older country music singers. Some of them didn't have the best of looks, but they sure could belt out a tune. If they tried to break into the business today, they wouldn't make it.
We went and saw George Strait at the Palace a few months back and Reba was playing before he came and out and damn she can put on a show. Plus she's easy on the eyes which is always a plus.

I love Reba and I've seen her live three times at the Hampton Coliseum. Great shows and great artist.
As for your post sir, I agree 100%. Country music has all but lost my interest. There are few that still perform classic country such as Reba, George Strait, Alan Jackson and a few others.
I love Toby Keith. I paid big bucks to see him in Virginia Beach a couple of years ago and I was not moved, in fact, I was a little disappointed.
Bunch of Hillbillies...No wonder people still think us truck drivers don't have teeth!!!!
hey.... whats better then drivin down the open road with country music commin outta the speakers. i use to hate country music.... then when i got my Ford it just seemed like the only thing to listen to. i love this music now one odd ball artist that i NEVER thought was anything country, janette macurdy (plays sam pucket in icarly) has her own songs out there for country and claims she is a country girl through n through. course the technology changes everything... but the music is still good
