Rear view camera - random problem
All my cameras work just fine
The one on the factory tailgate
The one on my license bracket (when using my 5th wheel tailgate)
The one on the back of my trailer (connected with a 60' control cable, thru the trailer frame / 5th wheel neck)
No issues.....
I connect my trailer when towing; License plate camera when disconnected; factory tailgate when not towing.....
I have the factory NAV system, and use it's display...

Look back several weeks, that where I got mine from.
I'm partially ruling heat unless it can have a delayed effect. The other day I started my truck which was in the garage (shade) and the ambient temp was around 75 degrees and got the B/W fuzzy screen in the mirror.
Any solutions?
I know this is an old thread, but i'm having a similar problem with my 2013 F250. Dealer has replaced -everything- except the wiring harness. Thought it was fixed then last night same thing.
Only this time i stepped on the parking brake when i was still in reverse, and the picture came back. Released the brake and it went blank. Repeat several times and the video would go on and off.
Then i put the brake down hard, and released it and the picture stayed on. I'm thinking the parking brake cable is moving and pulling on the harness somewhere. Back to the dealer on monday i guess.

I picked up my new truck last Friday, and already the rear view camera is having a problem.
Sometimes it comes on, and is all fuzzy and black and white.
Other times, it comes up solid blue, then the display goes off.
Guess I'll be making my first trip to the dealer.....but it wont be the selling dealer, as they are about 70 minutes away.
Anyone else had this issue? I did a quick search, and nothing came up.

I have this exact same problem. Using the parking brake causes the camera to turn off and on. Truck is at the dealer right now. Been there on two occasions for multiple days and they can't fix it.
Did you ever figure out of to fix the problem?

cant answer your question directly, but its been reported that there is a large bundle of wires right near the e-brake that can get scrapped, broken, abraided, etc and caused other problems. You might take a look up in there to see if you see movement, or any potentially bare wires up there.
Thanks for the reply. I got the truck back from the dealer today. They told me that the wiring connector was loose at the parking brake. I've been driving it today with lots of reversing and using the parking brake and no problems so I think that must've been it.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
