7.3 HP/Torque

I am sure this question has been asked a thousand times but I was wondering what were the last hp/torque ratings on the 7.3? I guess that would be 2002?

The 2002 has 250 HP and 525 ft-lb of torque "advertised".

Arent those numbers for the manual transmission trucks? I believe the automatics are slightly less.

I thought manual were 275@2,800 RPM w/manual and 525@1,600 RPM w/manual
and the auto were as above.

Hmm.. I didnt look at the RPMs. That I dont know.

mine says 235 hp its 2001

Mine's valve cover says, 235 as well Don and its a 2000

so then we need the 2002 motor what is it the different then is it the computer or what does any body know
