wipers

so i have a 1987 6.9 just bought two weeks ago my windshield wipers work but after being on for a few min they start to stutter they go up half way then stop for a second or two in the middle of the windshield then continue to the top stop again then come down half way and stop again anybody ever have this problem gonna changhe the moter if i dont hear any better ideas

if you have delay wipers, the delay module is bad.
on the 87, it should be bolt to the dash below the wiper switch.
