Towing Capabilities?

What kind of weight can you comfortably tow with a 2004 f-150 crew cab with the 5.4l?

Open your drivers door and look down on the B pillar. There should be a sticker with your weight limit on it.

Question asked many times.

That number on the b pillar is the amount of weight the truck can carry, not what it can tow. The tongue weight of the trailer does contribute to this weight.

Here is the info direct from Ford that will tell you everything you need to know.

It seems the general consensus around here is to keep the gross weight under 7,000 lbs.
