e4od front seal

i'm at the point where i can have it out in an hour & change

the pump is pumping, cause i put the tc on empty & it fills up

when i put the pump in last time i spray painted , every thing white, incase it leaked again

and it did

it is leaking where the tc fits into the seal the best i can tell

wtf

will someone check the manual, see if crying is allowed
so this is what i did this morn.
took the pump out again,#$^&*#@#*(, & the tc)
tried mateing them , with the tc on the ground, pump on the top, pushing & spinning it on.
the damm seal is to loose!!!!!! slides right off!!
the other set of tc & pump i have , when you mate them, and just hold on to the pump , you can lift the tc off the ground.
here we go again
did you go to napa and get the updated seal like i suggested Joe?
edit;
here.order this seal Joe and put your trans in for the last time.

sounds like wherever you went, you've been given the wrong seal altogether which has been causing you all this grieve.
and like i suggested in the first place, you really, really should just consider (if you can afford it) to buy the updated higher volume pump too.remember,i showed them used on ebay.just saying.now sure is the time.just be done with it already.

I went into an autoparts outlet and gave them a part number, and they were able to get the seal off the shelf.
You wouldn't believe the amount of trouble I went through with my E4OD when I first put it in. Virtially all of it was due to my own mistakes and had everything from geartrain failures to sticking valve bodies to stubborn leaks from disturbing the tramission so many times so I know what its like. If you can afford to take a step back and do something else for a little while, then do that.
This is the list of possible causes of this sort of leak:
Main seal (most likely)
Pump body to case seal (Not likely if you see the leak coming from the shaft/converter hub)
Pump attaching bolts not seated or sealed properly (again, not likely)
Pump body cracked (not likely)
transmission case cracked (REALLY not likely)
Damaged pump bushing (but this was checked if I remember right)
Damaged converter hub shaft that tears into the fresh seal (this would be very obvious if it were the case)
All of those things can be found without having to tear into the transmission. This may or may not be what you want to hear, but unless you are positive there are deeper problems in the transmission, your easiest way out at this point is to still try and repair it again.
i'm so sore. i'm 6'5'' 250. &52 yrs old still strong as an ox----BUT-- i ain't 19- no more
and the humidity is around 95% today
that trans will not win
